We never leave home without our air fryer. It makes cooking up a storm. I would say anywhere from 7 to 15 minutes to an hour depending on how good you want the food. Yuk, I’ll stop there. This is all I talk about when I am cooking up a storm!
Food Prep is Important
These tips are absolutely the most important tip you can try whether you are a beginning air fryer owner, a seasoned air fryer owner or even if you have been using the Air Fryer for a few months now.
The tortilla chips you buy may be pre-made. They are generally very processed and not whole wheat or brown rice (although that is great for baking). You will want sour cream on top of every crispy tortilla chip that you make. Try to use extra-virgin olive oil and it may take you a few tries to get the consistency just right, but on the plus side, the tortilla chips taste really good! Sometimes, in this brand of seasoning, you will get 4 varieties of seasoning. The flavor combination is incredible. Try it, you will like it!
Another great homemade seasoning that we use regularly is dry ranch seasoning. Everybody should try this too! I prefer the pre-made bbq seasoning packets. This is not a sponsored message — simple as that! I never have an issue finding the pre-mixed kinds that I need.
More proof that air fryers are doing more for our health than I would have ever predicted!
I have tried so so many different meals and there are some dishes that make us absolutely smile! We love to cook a little bit of everything, it pours us into so many different areas! I cannot even begin to list how many different meals I have therefore it’s going to be really hard to rank the best foods to cook in an air fryer. But I can tell you what I do think about the most. Once you sample a few of these dishes your mind and your food choices will be all changed. It’s like you will never go back to using a traditional fryer again. I would go as far as saying one of these meals changed my entire health.
I am hooked on sweet chili chicken wings. This simple recipe is all you need to make your friends and family happy.
I love my air fryer and I think it’s a fantastic choice for all of us! It’s pretty usable in terms of cooking chicken, meat or fish in it and I have used it for quite a long time without a problem. What became long was the amount of times we would run out of oil. The one thing that does get annoying is having to constantly wipe the food with a paper towel after every use. The grocery store sells air fryer oil at a low price so it becomes an investment even though it’s pretty basic. Luckily we didn’t need much either because the oil does last quite a long time. It’s nice having that clean taste that most things do. WE make our own spray for basic things and swap it out for other meals.
Making Pork Chops in an Air Fryer
Once again I am becoming enamored with how nice the meat is coming out after it’s been in the air fryer for 10 minutes! I still think sometimes it gets too brown on the outside but the meat comes out all perfect (there are times my chicken breasts get too brown so I sauté them in a little bit of olive oil but the outside of the meat still tastes a little good). I am also starting to get into making curry pastes one evening after I make my fajitas. I’ve been obsessed with coconut milk pastes and this recipe reminds me why I love curry so much! They make a great sauce to top the chicken and vegetables!
I think a big reason why all of our family members like the air fryer is because it is healthy! That is also why we now have decided to start an air fryer group on Facebook started just to encourage all of our friends who also use the air fryer to also log their favorite swaps and recipes so we can all have a place for information so that we can all be better informed of what we are putting into our bodies.
